Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty, born October 1, 1995, was raised in Berkeley, California. She is an actress well-known by her roles in Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House (2022).

Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a actor and film family. Both professions she pursued her own. At the age of nine and acting, she made her debut in Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni. The year 1988 was the time she played the role of lead in Cristina Comencini's first feature film Zoo. She was also a part of Michele Soavi's casting in The Church. Red Wood Pigeon, the film in which she starred as Nanni Moretti's daughter came out a year after. However, it came from Close Friends by Michele Placido which saw Asia's acting career explode. It was a huge success at the Cannes International Film Festival. Daria Argento, her mother and one the actors who was a favorite of Argento's, Daria was an orexic teenager searching for the killer of her parents Trauma. Asia's intense and absorbed performance style was used to great effect in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato nozze. In 1993, she was a co-star in the film of Carlo Verdones, Perdiamoci di vista, in which she was Arianna a physically challenged girl. This role was complex and difficult, securing her recognition from David di Donatello for the best actor. In 1995 she worked with Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio. This collaboration earned her a David di Donatello award as well as an award called a Grolla of Oro. The first short film Asia made was an episode in the De Generazione movie. Two years later, Asia became a director and completed two other films. One of them was AbelAsia a tribute for her father. Asia directed her debut film in Scarlet Diva (1999), in which she was the actress leading the film and the author of its screenplay. The movie was released on May 20, 2000 throughout Italy as well as several other countries. It was honored with an award in Brooklyn at the Williamsburg International Film Festival.
